This is the last bridge on the Main Stem before Wolf Point and the confluence of the Chicago River. The building in the center shot is curved to match the bend. Also, this photo was taken prior to several buildings being built on the west banks, which makes it feel like the river IS opening up. Now, the whole corner is hemmed in but the increasingly expanding Chicago skyline.
