Artist's Description
Dating back to the 12th, St. Paul's Cathedral is also known as the Mdina Cathedral. Of course, this isn't the exact church from the 12th century. After an earthquake in 1693, it was dismantled and rebuilt by Lorenzo Gafà and is regarded as his masterpiece. While it is part of what makes Mdina a striking vista from a distance, it's a rather intimate setting up close ... seeming to loom over you as you traverse the narrow streets.
