Artist's Description

A single train makes its way across Chicago's Lake Street Bridge during the beginning of the golden hour. The bridge was built in 1885 and converted to double-decker in 1893. It was rehabbed in 1995 preserving an architectural heritage for new generations. Against this backdrop, the distinctive cantilevered base of 150 N. Riverside stands proudly behind the tracks, a symbol of the city's evolving skyline. Together the bridge and building illustrate Chicago's ongoing convergence of past and present.
